It’s almost that time of year again. Enjoy my review about this Christmas-inspired novel.
This book tells two stories.
The first one is the one about Bastion and his daughter. The second one is about Jess and her family. Obviously those two stories become one at the end.
Lynda Stacey has a very vivid style of writing, I can see every detail that she describes. The locations that she mentions are sounding/looking amazing.
When I finished this book, the first thing that I wanted to do was to pack my bags and leave. I wanted to check in with Jess and her family.
The harsh fight with the ex of Bastion is written so well. Lynda gives every character a real life. Because of that you can even feel sorry for Annie, something I couldn’t imagine at the beginning of the story. The fight gives this story the necessary tension and brings out the best/worst in the characters.
Above all is this a real feel good, Christmas story. This story contains many moments where you can, alongside with the characters, dive into the romantic moments.
It’s an amazing book to dream away with during the holidays or on days that you miss that time of year.
See you soon
